New Mocs

So I've been looking at these House of Harlow 1960 moccasins for quite some time now. I must admit it I might have held off because I discovered they brand was "designed" by Nicole Ritchie. But, when I saw the last pair at Capezio in my size on huge sale, I had to grab at the opportunity and I'm really glad I did because I absolutely adore them!

SWIM: Prism, Laura Urbanati and more

Sooo much great swimwear out this year, one pieces, cut-outs, high waisted bottoms, and tons of interesting variations on the classic bikini.

(note: MTV's 'The City' fans, the model is that Allie girl that Kelly Cutrone thought was way too skinny)

Short Hair and Agyness Deyn

I've recently been totally obsessed with model Agyness Deyn. Her style is so unique and confident and just totally rad. She changes her hair a lot but this one style has actually got me thinking I should cut my hair.

Fashion Weeks Highlights

After examining the fall 11 shows I've come up with my 3 favourite trends: sheers, androgyny, and fur.

So a lot of designers have been playing with a lot of sheers lately, going past the typical sheer blouse. Everything from skirts, to pants, to evening gowns are being done in sheer. If it's done right be can look classy, just make sure you're wearing the right underwear!

Holly Fulton showed a printed version.

Christian Dior went all out with a full length gown.

Chanel took a layered approach which really worked. I'm always surprised by how Karl can come up with such fresh ideas while still keeping very much within the Chanel aesthetic.

Louis Vuitton

From menswear inspired pieces have to full-out androgynous outfits, manly is in.  I love the look especially when it is injected with some good preppyness and strong shots of colour.

Okay, I could have done without the stars and treble clefs but I really like a lot of the collection. Tailoring was amazing and socks-and-shoes combos outstanding.

FUR- I'm no animal rights activist but I do feel bad for liking this trend so much.. but there is much better looking fake furs these days so I don't even know whether these furs are real or not. That being said, there is not denying that fur is fashion and this season it comes in every type and used it every way you could think of. It's definitely not just about the full length mink coat anymore.
