Tough Love

I adore this vintage Laura Ashley dress that I inherited from my dear mother. I had it on with cowboy boots and a suede vest previously but it was just a tad bit too wench-like. Given the the choice, I will always go for a more biker-y look, so here it is paired with a Danier leather jacket I decided to destroy one day and turn into a vest, along with some random leather driving gloves. Hope you likee xox

Going Dotty

My outfit today: a vintage dress that I originally purchased for a 20's flapper girl costume. I shortened the hemline quite a bit which made it much more modern. I surprisely opted to keep the shoulder pads in, i like the shape they give the dress. All the watches are vintage, the leather bow is from American Apparel. Yellow Doc Marten boots and OPI Shatter nail polish over dark red.

DIY: jean bleaching & egg dying

It's a do-it-yourself themed Easter this year. I bleached my jeans from Joe Fresh (awesomely cheap Canadian brand designed by Joseph Mimran) with this fabulous Dries Van Noten pair in mind. They did not turn out exactly like them but that was to be expected and I am quite happy with the result. The lovely ocean-blue egg I randomly dyed with the deep purple water left over from my steamed organic multi-coloured carrots. (why it turned it blue is a complete mystery)

Joe Fresh jeans, AA mesh tee and bandeau, dollhouse shoes, vintage scarf worn as turban, vintage charm bracelet (grandma's), ring unknown, nails copper OPI (excuse the chipping)

production photo, had troubles with the bleach lid haha:

Flower Power

Okay I know I've already shown this shirt but it was under a sweater and I wanted to show off it's full glory. Plus it's springtime and time to wear flowers. It's lovely poofy affect was sadly somewhat ruined by the wind, but you get the point.
I'm in love with the pattern, it goes with practically anything, I've had a little too much fun matching it with various nail polishes.

Thrifted shirt, nudie jeans, 80/20 shoes, marc by marc jacobs bag, The Bay necklace, vintage costume jewellery ring, bendy brand necklace worn as bracelet

gypsy, stoner, aboriginal

Today I was feeling slightly inspired by Syd of OFWGKTA and wore loose jeans, but tried to girl it up with a cropped sweater. Kind of a random outfit as the title of this post indicates, but I like it. I did the nails myself and definitely could have done a better job but today is a lazy day.
